A strange initiation is waiting for me. I am led by my tutor Heiko to the top of an island in the midst of the Main river. There he shares a ritual that he was taught only a few weeks ago: the HAKA. It’s a traditional dance of the Maori people of New Zealand. There is something in this dance that attracts me very much.

I immediately feel the quality of taking back my power – taking back my life. I fully take responsibility for my recovery now whatever this means. I still feel life energy in my veins and I wonder what’s going on. I feel out of balance in many ways and my body is the mirror.

There is a story told together with the Haka dance and this story leads me deep into my cells – deep into life itself. There is something more to explore.
